Group Theme Classes: $65/person.  Class size limited to 10.

Introduction to Curries: February 7, 2015, 10:00 am.  Chef Jen has become known around the state for her curries.  She will teach you everything you need to know to make your own curries at home.

Bo SSam Dinner:   February 21, 2015, 10:00 am.  Bo Ssam is a Korean dish made with slowly cooked pork shoulder and served with various fillings and sauces, then wrapped neatly in a lettuce wrap.  Hosting a bo ssam dinner is great fun.  Chefs Jennifer and Eric will teach you the ins and outs of this fun dish.

Noodle Bowls:  March 21, 2015, 10:00 am.  Join us to learn how to make the various broths and garnishes needed to make a truly wonderful noodle bowl.

Easy Mexican Foods: April 25, 2015, 10:00 am.  Early in her career, Chef Jen spent 6 months traveling around Mexico working learning how to cook authentic Mexican cuisine, and she would love to teach you what she learned.  Dishes will include Taco al Pastor, Green Mole with Chicken, Various Salsas, Potatoes with Chorizo, Homemade Flour Tortillas.

 

A Walk Through The Farmers Market: Every Saturday from June 6 – July 18.  Meet at The Cooks’ House at 9:00 am.  Walk with Chefs Jen and Eric through the Traverse City Downtown Farmers Market and choose from the best produce Northern Michigan has to offer, then go back to The Cooks’ House to cook what we buy.  This class gives you a great insight into the creative process of chefs, while learning new ways to take advantage of the bounty of the area.  We will meet at The Cooks’ House all go to the market together.  

Private Classes $100/person.  Class sizes can range from 2 to 10 persons.

Customized cooking class to your specifications, taught by Chef Eric and/or Chef Jen from The Cooks’ House. This is not a theoretical course, this is hands on!

We let you bang the pans and dirty the dishes in The Cooks’ House kitchen for a 2 1/2 hour lesson where you cook on the same burners as our chefs.

You’ll get everything you need for your lesson: ingredients, expert instruction, and recipes. Plus you’ll get to taste your creation right from the spoon.

This is an excellent idea as a unique evening of intimacy and fun with your very best friends. You and your friends rubbing elbows with our chefs in The Cooks House, creating dishes you enjoy to eat.

You tell us what you want to make and we’ll design the course for you. Perfect for you and your best friends, a group of 2-3 couples, or anyone who loves to create in the kitchen.
